Feminist: a person who believes in the social, political and economic equality of the sexes.

It is not a complicated word. We should all be feminists. Obviously.

There is a major fault in the statement: “It is not a complicated word,” and I would like to point it out, since I have a few minutes free with me.

The meaning of any word comes from the usage of it in any culture rather than definition.

The word feminist is defined as you have written but the usage of it in our culture is different. And thus it is a complicated word.

Let me give you explain-like-i-am-five-years example. The word “owl” means “stupid”(ullu) in Indian culture but means “wise” in European culture. The meaning of a word comes from the usage of it.

So when you say everyone should be feminist, you sound weak by your ambiguity, because of the fragile usage of it. Depends on the parameters of your equality. Like equality of opportunity which every rational person would want but equality of outcome which is byfar the most stupid thing anyone can follow.

Hence, you should describe your assumptions without using the word “obviously.”
